3rd Workshop on Goodness-of-Fit and Change-point problems

International Conference

3rd Workshop on Goodness-of-fit and Change-Point Problems
8 - 10 Sept 2017

The workshop will be held at The Church House of the Protestant Academy Baden in Bad Herrenalb in the Black Forest near Karlsruhe (Germany).

Following two workshops held in Sevilla, Spain, in 2012 and Athens, Greece, in 2015, the 3rd International Workshop on Goodness-of-fit (GOF) and Change-Point (CP) Problems will take place at Bad Herrenalb, Germany, 8-10 September 2017.

Goodness-of-fit (GOF) testing and change-point (CP) analysis are two subjects that have enjoyed uninterrupted development throughout the history of statistics. There is a clear link between these two subjects: Effectively with nearly every GOF problem there exists a corresponding CP analysis that can be formulated. The workshop emphasizes this link, and will seek to encourage cross cluster as well as within clusters collaborations of participants from the two subjects.

The main themes of the event include, but are not limited to:

  • Classical GOF testing and CP analysis

  • Fourier methods for GOF testing and CP detection

  • GOF and CP analyses in econometrics and

  • GOF and CP analysis in time series with count data.

There will be a single-session scientific program with invited 25min oral presentations. Currently, the possibility of an invited poster session is also under consideration.
